This smoothie tastes like dessert but is filled with vitamin C from mango and lime and anti-oxidants from tumeric. Try this when traveling or feeling a cold coming on, it will protect your body when you need it. This is also great as a treat for both the immune system and the tastebuds.
• Mango is low in calories yet high in nutrients — particularly vitamin C, which aids immunity, iron absorption, and growth and repair.
• Limes are high in vitamin C and antioxidants — both of which may offer health benefits. Eating limes or drinking the juice may improve immunity, reduce heart disease risk factors, prevent kidney stones, aid iron absorption, and promote healthy skin • Tumeric most researchers agree that the basic mechanism of action within Turmeric is its potent antioxidant action. Curcuminoids scavenge for damaging particles in the body known as free radicals. I love adding this spice to a smoothie as you get all that anti-oxidant protection combined with vitamin C for a tasty powerhouse.

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup vanilla unsweetened coconut milk (I like So Delicious)
0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder
juice from half a lime
2 cups frozen mango
1/2 frozen banana
1 scoop plant-based protein powder (I like 310 Nutrition vanilla for this smoothie)
Add the coconut milk, turmeric, lime juice, protein powder, mango, and banana to the blender, blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth. I like this smoothie a little thicker as it is creamy and dessert-like.
Enjoy!
