Peachy Collagen Smoothie

Writer's picture: Kristi SawickiKristi Sawicki

What am I loving this Spring? This smoothie has quickly become my go-to. The combo of peaches, banana, honey, and vanilla is amazing. Plus you get skin and joint support from the collagen. The addition of flax provides extra fiber and omega-3s. It may also help lower total blood cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or "bad") cholesterol levels, which may help reduce the risk of heart disease. I love when something so good for me also tastes so good.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen peach slices

  • ½ frozen banana

  • 1 scoop Perfect Keto vanilla collagen

  • ½ teaspoon raw honey

  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1 T ground flax

  • 1 T flax oil

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or favorite nut milk of your choice)

  • water, if needed

Extras: As part of my 5R gut restore protocol I like to add: 1 scoop InnerFuel Prebiotic fiber, 1 scoop SBI Protect *, 1 scoop Leaky Gut Revive

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.

  2. Blend until smooth.

  3. If not liquidy enough, add a little bit of cold water.

  4. Pour into glass and enjoy!

For a smoothie bowl: Want a peach cobbler-like experience? Top it with some naturally sweetened granola, some soaked chia seeds, coconut, or fresh fruit. and grab a spoon. Just use 1/2 the liquid to make the consistency more ice-cream-like.

*immunoglobulin G (IgG) available as a dietary supplement. Pure IgG helps to maintain a healthy intestinal immune system by binding a broad range of microbes and toxins within the gut lumen.
